  • Do you use templates?
This a is a no template zone. Your website is a representation of the things that make your business unique. That said, all websites designs start from a blank canvas.
  • Will I have say in the design process?
Every step of the way! Instead of simply asking for your requirements, going into my cave, and producing a design; Website Godmother works with you to create something that’s not only beautifully designed, but productive. Most clients think that they should stay away from the design process. They often don’t want to ‘influence creativity’ but you actually have a much bigger role in the success of a project than you may think.
  • How long does it take to make a website?
It varies by project A super simple website site can be ready as quickly as one week and a more complex site can take up to eight weeks. Timeframe all depends on the number of webpages, products, media and etc. Most of the time, we're waiting on you (especially if you're writing your own content).
  • Writing content is hard! Will you do it for me?
We're not asking for Shakespeare so don’t worry if writing isn’t your strong suite. We do proofread whatever text content you supply at no cost. The best content comes from you because you know your business better than I do. That said, here's a helpful guide that makes writing content for your website less stressful. Still have writer's block? We offer professional copywriting service that uses impactful words to connect with your visitors and convert them to customers.
  • Another company said they will do everything for $500. Why shouldn't I use them?
Because you and your customers might hate your website. Or they are definitely using templates and and everyone will notice that your website looks like your 12-year-old nephew designed it. Or (worst case scenario) they may take your money any run. I know that 500 bucks is an amazing deal! But you'll most likely end up paying more money reworking areas of your website.
  • Do you only build websites with Wix?
Wix is our preference because it will be easy for you to manage your website once the project is completed-- no tech skills required. However, if the tools at Wix aren't a good fit for your business we will create your website in an alternative platform like Squarespace or WebFlow.
  • Do you work at Wix?
No, Website Godmother is not an employee at Wix and DB Creative Agency is not a subsidiary or in a legal partnership with Wix. We use Wix tools and resources, because we truly believe it's valuable for small business owners. In fact, our website is a Wix wesite-- we wouldn't recommend anything that we wouldn't use ourselves.
  • Is domain and hosting included?
No, because we don't want ownership of your domain name— it's yours. As custodians of your budget, we'll let you know what Wix Premium Plan is a match for your online business and your budget. You are responsible for the cost of a Wix Premium Plan. We will bill you for Wix Premium Plans purchased on your behalf. Once the project is complete, the Wix site and Premium Plan subscription will be transferred to your account. Wix will ask for your billing details to complete the transfer. Your credit card will be charged for renewal one year from the date of original purchase.
